Installation - Fastening Patterns
Exterior grade caulk should be applied in a 3/8” (10 mm) bead to all joint seams. For joint openings wider than 1/8” (3 mm), apply a backer rod to the joint. Use a trowel to compress the caulk into the joints. For optimal protection, caulk beads should be continuous to maintain a continuous barrier. See #12.
