Wall ties can be placed either above or below the Brikmat product ensuring that they are placed as close to the centre of the bed joint as possible. Damp proof course Brikmat should not be used in the same mortar bed as the damp proof course. Cutting Brikmat reinforcement can be cut onsite using a grinding wheel or bolt crops. See #5.
