For homeowners who like to give their homes a classic look, CertainTeed Corporation expands its patio door offerings in the western United States with the new Bryn Mawr II Hinged Door.

"Patio doors are increasingly important to homeowners who are taking their living spaces outdoors to the patio or deck. Because of this noticeable trend, we are broadening our portfolio of patio doors to include, along with our popular sliding doors, our first hinged door for the state-of-the-art Bryn Mawr II line," says Allison Barlaz, Marketing Director for CertainTeed Windows.

The vinyl door combines long-lasting performance with classic style. The doors are designed with 4" top and bottom rails and 4" stiles that create a traditional and elegant design with maximum viewing area. Matching sidelites are available for more design possibilities. The handle is available in a variety of finishes: White, Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Oil-Rubbed Bronze, Rustic Umber, Polished Chrome or Satin Nickel. Brick mold, flush fin and J-channel extensions are also available.
The hinged door is available in white or tan vinyl and can be customized with optional flat or sculptured grids for the appearance of divided lites. The grids are installed between the panes of glass in the insulating glass unit for easy cleaning. Also available as an option is PrismGrid, an innovative optical film technology that creates the custom look of beveled glass at an affordable cost.
Engineered with an insulating frame and sash, the new patio door is built with fusion-welded construction that is reinforced with aluminum to the strength and durability homeowners expect in an exterior door. The door's multi-point locking system offers added security and product strength. The door also features heavy-duty adjustable door hinges to ensure the door is correctly closed before locking.
The Bryn Mawr II hinged door carries a lifetime, limited warranty and is certified by the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) for air, water and structural performance as well as entry resistance. The double-walled insulating glass unit of every door provides excellent thermal efficiency and condensation control. The system's weather stripping blocks air, water and dust and reduces noise, while its integral glazing system bonds sash to glass for a weather-tight seal.
