New ED1400 Balanced Doors from DORMA Automatics Ideal for High Stack Pressure Applications

The new ED1400 Low Energy Balanced Door from DORMA Automatics provides outstanding performance in areas where stack pressure or strong wind gusts can make it difficult to open and close exterior doors. Ideal for high-rise offices, residential towers, and other high-volume applications, ED1400 balanced doors deliver the optimal balance of smooth dependable operation and monumental styling.

Dec 19, 2007

Developed in partnership with Dawson Doors, a leader in balanced door technology, the ED1400 door uses DORMA's microprocessor-controlled ED400 low energy operator for automatic operation and is augmented by a manual hydraulic operator. Combining both systems ensures ultra smooth operation in both automatic and manual mode. The door is also available in a manual configuration only.

The ED1400 balanced door is precision-assembled from premium-grade aluminum extrusion for excellent durability. The standard ED1400 unit measures 7' x 3'; a variety of other sizes and options are available. In addition to clear and dark bronze aluminum finishes, DORMA offers more than 20 special anodized finishes and countless painted colors to match virtually any design palette.

ED1400 Low Energy Balanced Doors comply with ADA guidelines and building codes. They offer a 10-year door, frame and hardware warranty and one-year warranty on the power operator.
