Thanks to a recent new release of the Document Locator document management system , companies planning to upgrade to Windows 7 or upgrade to Windows Server 2008 R2 will be able to maintain document management operations across all desktops and servers, even while multiple versions of Microsoft Windows systems are in place. Document Locator is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008.
"We believe the release today of Windows 7 will bring a wave of Windows upgrades and a transition period at many companies where different versions of Windows will be in operation at the same time," said ColumbiaSoft executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, David Pogue. "Being in the forefront of supporting the new Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, while maintaining our compatibility with older versions of Windows, gives our customers the greatest flexibility possible."

ColumbiaSoft was recognized by Microsoft in September of this year as a Front Runner for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The status was in recognition of the company’s early adoption and certification of Document Locator for the new Microsoft Windows operating and server systems well in advance of their commercial release.
The Document Locator document management system allows users to effectively manage information and collaborate on documents through integration with Microsoft operating systems and software, including Windows Explorer, Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and SharePoint. The integration makes it easier to use
document management functions like document version control, records management, document scanning, email management, document storage, and more.
